I’ve been an English teacher since 1998, a legal English tutor since 2004, a conversation partner, entrepreneur and avid reader.
Polish native, I now live in Poznań, Poland.

My first love

It all started after I graduated from English Philology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Thanks to my first business English students, most of whom valued their time and expected fast improvement, I needed to develop effective learning methods.

My second love

Legal English has turned out to be my second and strongest love. Since 2004 I have worked exclusively with legal and financial professionals designing individual and group courses for recognised Polish law firms and legal departments of international companies in Poland. Over the years I have also included topics from tax law, accounting and audit in my teaching repertoire.

My career-long obsession with creating my own study materials resulted in the launch of a unique website for the TOLES candidates – www.legalenglishboost.com

I am most effective when teaching:

• various professional vocabulary areas
• modern guidelines for writing with clarity and impact
• British pronunciation and intonation
• prepared and impromptu speeches
• fluent and natural English.

My teaching philosophy

I am unimpressed by those who only offer excuses. I can move mountains for students who really keep trying and stretch themselves. What appeals to me most is the Socratic method of deepening understanding and unveiling the reality through questions.

My other pursuits

Outside of work I’m single-mindedly focused on education as I avidly read about recent developments in psychology, human consciousness or memorising techniques. That is when I am not at the ice rink practising my figure skating jumps and spins. My recent experiments include calisthenics and Krav Maga.
